LLX 12.1.1 and Lollipop 5.0.2
i have installed CM12 on my OPO today.
now when i load “older” templates i have always box > selected area > white.
so when i touch an item/folder etc. i will have this selected effect which is not wanted.
i have checked it on my n4 edge with kitkat 4.4.4. it doesn’t happen.
is it a bug or a feature?
if it’s a bug, please fix it.
if it’s a feature please undo.

This is a feature. You probably need to change the selection effect to Holo instead of Material.

Pierre Hébert a feature that all items (panels, shortcuts etc.) have a white squared background on tap? that is not material and even no good feature. worse if you have to change 60+ themes. sorry pierre not a good idea.

You should see ripples and the standard Android selection effect. Since it has been implemented a month ago nobody complained about it, so maybe there is something else ?

i think only a few have lollipop and only few of them have themes like mine 😉

According to Play Store install statistics, Lightning has 4x more users of Lollipop than the average in its category (12.30% vs 2.76%), which is not surprising given that most users of Lightning like to customize their device and be on the bleeding edge (lots of users of CM or other custom ROMs). That’s a total of 1142 users as of today.
