This is a builtin font, it is directly read from the APK. There is no good reason for the app to be unable to read it. Either the package is broken, or as TrianguloY said the font is overridden at the system level, which isn’t a good idea.
The app uses the default font, but for this buttons it explicitly sets a custom font. The behavior of the rom should be to set a custom font only if the default font is in use, otherwise it will break a lot of apps.

Do you have a Rom that overrides custom fonts?
The symbols are instead those characters of the icon font

It’s a lightning font, available when you choose a custom font from a label.
Maybe you can extract it from the apk…but can’t you simply disable that app for lightning?

i found out that the rom allows to change the system font., which i didn’t change. but if i do it takes also effect to the font use in LLmenus etc.
which font do you normally use?

It’s an icon font, so you’re not going to want to use that as system, if that’s what you’re thinking.
You won’t be able to read anything.

The icon font is a derivative of http://zavoloklom.github.io/material-design-iconic-font/index.html
