I think I remember seeing it somewhere, but I can’t find it back

I have an app (Zooper) duplicated in the app drawer.

I was changing the layout of the “My Drawer”, and now I have twice the Zooper app, is there a way to remove it without unistalling it?

    Just refresh the app drawer.

Can you hide one of them?

Marcus Melvinson yes. And only one disappeared. Not sure it actually solved the root cause. But at least I can’t see it anymore (can display if unhide so problem in itself is not solved)

Indeed, the refresh option does not check for duplicates, and it won’t fix the problem. I don’t know what is the root cause of an app appearing twice in the drawer. Most likely this due to an update, but I don’t know what triggers the problem.

I’ve got quite a few duplicates, it happened to me after a borked rom flashing. It’s been bugging me for a while but not enough to actual look into it. Just to note, I’m not getting new duplicates.

As for me I was building my “My Drawer” desktop. I had a few crash on changing icons. The duplicate might have appear at that time. The problem is I didn’t notice when it actually happened. But for sure I haven’t done any install at that time.

When I go to the standard Samsung drawer, the app is not duplicated

I had also another strange issue around the same time, but I don’t think it is linked, today is the second time my Feedly app uninstalled by itself. (But I think it to be more of a conflict with Samsung Store)

I had a duplicated app recently… Could it be because of internal changes of the duplicated app? like different name, version, something…

Pierre Hébert for me when it first happened I think the rom update that failed essentially made all my paid apps appear to be not installed when in fact they still were. IIRC I was getting the infamous error -24 back from the play store. So I wiped the cache and reinstalled rom & Gapps, then restored the LLX settings from backup then went about restoring apps from titanium. I think it was some point along that process that duplicates appeared.

Hopefully that might give you some ideas
