When you go in All settings- General- Events & Action you can set an action for long pressing menu key or Long press back key or pressing search key. These do not work. I can change menu short press and back key short press. Is it a rom issue or android version (CM11 android 4.4.4), or bug?

Hoped I could popup a LL folder or sidebar as overlay over an opened app, but I read yesterday that folder as overlay is not (yet) possible. So at the moment I have LMT launcher with tasker scene as overlay. Tasker developer has a online todo list which contains feature requests, so everybody could see if the feature request is in the list or not yet. Is this an idea for Pierre Hébert So we can see if an idea is already on the list so we don’t have mention it multiple times. Just an idea.

These events work only inside of LL.

There is a list of requests somewhere, it isn’t often updated though

When launched from desktop they do not work eather. Could you have a link for the feature requests list? I cannot find it somehow.

Hm. It worked for me last time I tried. Currently I’m using gravity box, so these settings get overwritten anyway.

It is not update very often, but at the moment it is rather up to date.

I don’t know why long back or long menu key don’t work. It is working on my device. Could it be that these events are set at the global level and overriden at the desktop level ?

Oke I will try that if the issue is overriden by desktop level. On The desktop level all keys or swipes are unset.

When desktop settings are unset and I want in general events, change the menu long and search key the search key does nothing and the menu key long press gives me search with google popup. Back long press works now. (sidebar pops up) When unset these keys in general, leave the settings and go to desktop then go back to the general event and actions the buttons menu long press and back long press are changed to lock(do nothing) and the search changed to search. in the rom are these buttons unset. (no action)

If you have a rom with specific handling of these keys, even if they are unset they may be caught and not transmitted, maybe the problem is here.

That might be it. Just tested in tasker the press search button event, but that doesn’t do anything eather. So this is probably a rom issue. I might be looking into gravitybox then, if it is available for my device. (I am rooted and xposed is installed) but I am also satisfied with LMT Launcher. Thanks for thinking with me.
