Am I just not understanding, or is there a bug with Mask Icons?

How I think it should work: Masks off the actual icon, applying the transparency values of the Mask icon to the actual icon.

How it is currently working: Applying a white icon the shape of the mask icon.

Maybe the mask icon is not used the correct color ? IIRC the masked color should be pure black, and visible areas transparent. If you see some white then maybe this has to do with the masking color.
