Regarding widgets: what about common widgets (thinking Analogue Clock, Google Search) that should be available on all screens. Or is the reason for this rule, widgets cannot be created automatically by LL upon first launch?

Another thing: now, the default layout has three folders: language, videos and….another.
Is there a way to restore them (to put them into the layout for the contest) without need to reinstall the launcher? (If not I’ll try to take them from a backup…I’ll try) because I think that these folders are good, and with the lack of default apps they will allow to fill the layout a bit more 🙂

Chris sledge I know (I said reinstall to be direct) but that’s something I don’t want to do, I don’t want to lose my screen (yes, a backup, but I’ll need to change it every time)
I was thinking of something about ‘restore desktop with default layout’ … maybe I need to suggest this as a new feature ( what do you think Pierre Hébert? )

Regarding stock widgets, this is not really an option neither. Before Android 4.1 this is simply not possible, and starting at 4.1 the user is prompted with a scary message. This message can be tolerated when applying a template, but not at startup.
I don’t see an easy way to recreate tutorial, language and templates links at the moment. Backup and restore cycles are not a solution. Maybe rename the “reset desktop” to “clear this desktop”, and add a new one “reset to default setup” as suggested would be fine.

Why do you don’t want a layout in free mode ? it’s one of the best feature and only SSlauncher have it ? Pierre Hébert
