Two things bother me though:

– I want to create folders with a lot of items inside and the process is cumbersome. Is there a way to just multi-select apps to add them to a folder?

– Is there a global setting for icons? I never want mirror effect and I want the text to always be under the icon.

  1. 1. There are some scripts, but there is no easy way…

    2. No, there are only container wide styles. May be a good idea though

  2. 1. I think I’ll make do with https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=tag&fdid=com.google.code.apps2org for the moment until I find a better, more native way,

    2. ok, that’d be nice I think.

  3. Usually, adding a lot of icons in a folder is because you are sorting your app drawer, or classifying your apps, am I right ?

Indeed, item settings are either applied for a whole container (all items in a desktop, or a panel or a folder or the app drawer) but you can save your settings in a style and reuse it elsewhere, this will save you a lot of time.

exactly, I want to tag my apps and have folders automatically populated from the tags. I liked this in ADWEx, for now there’s Apps2org (linked in my previous comment.)

  5. If so, I would suggest not to bother too much about app classification: my opinion is that it does not really matter. We may have several hundreds of apps, we only use a few of them (maybe 10, 20 or 30 but not a lot more). As a consequence it is more efficient to create a desktop with the app you use a lot, and then leave the other ones unsorted. This is just my way to see the thing though.
