id suggest widgetlocker as a temporary solution, it has this feature. you can also use cutom zooper widgets in widgetlocker to manipulate LL objects from a real lockscreen with all the functionality of a device administrator app

I use widget locker now. Crashes a bit to often on me. Other then that its a good lockscreen.
Im sure there are many ways of making the theme of your desktop and lockscreen match nicly.
Using the power LLX as a lockscreen would be nice. Yet I would lose widget lockers cool jelly bean unlock widget.
Pro’s and con’s both ways. Story of my life with android.
I just feel this option can open up some great options for a notification screen/desktop.

Well If LLX would start at a home screen on boot it wouldent need root as it wouldent be a lockscreen. The home page could just imatate a lockscreen. Then you would just disable the actual lockscreen.
My purpose for a lock screen is to see notifications quickly and hopefully not start launching apps in my pocket.

I think facebook home is a lockscreen and a launcher with its newest version.

So if I disable my samsung lock screen LLX is currently the first thing that appears.
But it appears in what ever state or what ever desktop I left it on.
All it needs to do is know to return to a specific desktop in the event the phone wakes up and then its not much diffrent then a lockscreen.

use tasker much? you can set a profile too do that easily. ON Wake DO Button Press : Back

with tasker plug in autoshortcut you can even target the desktop you want as the DO action 🙂

Maybe I can do an experiment and add action screen on/off, so that you could plug these on “Go to home desktop”, or better “Go to the desktop that I want to see as lockscreen”.

a bit wordy but people wont be confused as to what it does. Seems like this fits in with some people wanting certain desktops for work or diffrent times of the day. Sree Rao had a good idea that tasker can probably do all this so I would put it at a low priority.

Pierre Hébert i think LL definitely has the potential to be a killer lockscreen replacement as well as desktop, but adding something like tasker compatibility with certain key navigation actions would unlock true potential of this app while exposing it to a group of android users that would truly appreciate it for.. well you know 🙂
