It would be more convenient i.e. to add margins around a folder. Right now it’s math to do (desktop width – left – right = width). But primary it would be independent from a devices resolution (publishing templates).

Also it would allow to align folders i.e. relative to the bottom left corner. Again: device independency.

I know technically top/height and left/width are the values to use, but it would be great if you could make this possible.

Usablity-wise I’d suggest: if top AND bottom are specified, the height value should be non-editable (maybe show the calculated value?), likewise left, right and width.

I understand that the current configuration screen requires a calculator 😉 I am also considering another option: instead of using this screen, I imagine that some sort of handles around the folder window to resize it/move it like items could be nice. Maybe not a replacement but probably a fair enough complement to the existing settings ?

Pierre Hébert We’ll see. Sounds good so. But should allow for pixel perfect placement (numeric editing should be possible).

What I hope for is defining an anchor point (not just top-left) which the folder is placed relatively to.

Currently I have something like the following desire: create a folder that is placed 64px from bottom of screen, has a margin left and right of 16px, adjusts the height to it’s content, meaning: it can grow up.

    Hope that’s understandable…
