– improves copy style with items

– panels are now created on the bottom layer

– fix a rounding problem leading to 1px holes in the layout

– fix add widget when used through the shortcut action “add object…”

– fix a crash when double clicking on a folder at startup

“newly created folders”? Do you mean “panels”, or is “Use desktop size” now also available for folders?

Thanks for 1px gap-fix and “add object”-fix! Also panels at bottom layer sounds like a great idea.

I mean folders from the user point of view only, not panels 😉 The option is now available for folders too, I think this is better this way but I didn’t want to break existing layouts again so it’s applied on new instances only.

Update installed, quick check, mentioned changes/fix work great (1px, add object).

One thing I’m quite puzzled: I added a folder, opened it, longtap >> “Customize folder”. It shows three options:

    – “Settings”: opens LL main settings dialog

    – “Current Desktop”: opens folder settings dialog

    – “Lock”: what does it lock?

First two dialogs seem to be mixed, right?

EDIT: also for panels menu, mixed item functions.

One funny finding: longtap LL shortcut, choose “App…”, then “Kill”… LL is killed and says “I’ll be back”. Nice easter egg!! Maybe shortcuts should not have the “App…”-menu item 😉

Yes Pierre Hébert What is lock and unlock? Can’t see what is changing when I use them

Klyntone Bourserk *lock* seems to prevent from going to edit-mode on long-tap, I guess.

Lock/Unlock works great, you fulfil even wishes unspoken.

I don’t know if this is intentional, but an LL Action “Add object” in a locked panel/folder still allows to add items, the panel switches to edit-mode, the new item can be placed. After leaving edit-mode with back-key lock is back in place. IMHO a real feature, not a bug. Love it!

Lutz Linke the menu for folders should not be here, but for some reason I made a mistake while merging code from a branch to another 🙁 Thanks for alerting me on this ! Regarding the shortcut and the kill action, this is intended. As long as the shortcut points to something that can be “killed” (well, in fact killing does not exist on Android), the item will be displayed. In fact apps and shortcuts are exactly the same thing.

Lock is indeed no more than assigning the action “Do nothing (lock)” to the “Long tap on an item” event (unlock set it to move, not the previous value).

Pierre Hébert Keep in mind the entries seem twisted to me. See above.

Humm… I checked twice, but it seems ok to me: settings is the main configuration screen, and current desktop links to the desktop specific option, isn’t that ok ?

Pierre Hébert Oops, my fault, you are right!

Re: Lock/Unlock… It looked like it would apply to folders/panels, but locking is applied to the whole desktop and all items, right?

Lutz Linke right, and this is why it should not appear here, but only on the desktop 😉

NOW I see! Sooo many new features and options… confusing.

Do you have vacation or how comes you are so busy working on LL?

I’m “stay-home-dad” for a few months, but still don’t have as much time as hoped for (only during night hours). You, too? Since you mentioned your little one lately.

I work at home, and since a few weeks I managed to recover some time for LL. I have a very flexible schedule, sometimes busy, sometimes not. When I can, I work on Android apps (mostly LL at the moment).

Regarding young children : no way to work or do something else while they are awake 😉 I totally understand what you mean…
