Hello all.

Hello all. Long time reader, first time poster… I am still very green to LLX but love it. It ranks up there with Titanium for must have apps. Anyway, after some playing I thought I would post a couple things I would love to see. I apologize if  they are already there and my newbliness kept me from seeing them or if they have already been suggested and shot down.

1) Performing multiple actions for items and gestures.

2) Though the lockscreen is very new, I hope that certain widgets that are automatically loaded once an app is launched can be implemented. One example is the netflix widget.

3) Add a way to just hide the status bar without showing it with the menu button.

Thank you much for your hard work and dedication to the only launcher that gives true freedom to customize the look and functionality of my home screen.

    1) it’ll be one of the biggest new features (scripting), but also difficult so we don’t know we’re pierre will finally implement it.

    2) yes, some people suggested it…not sure how difficult to implement it is.

    3) I think you can do it by setting the ‘menu key’ action to something that don’t have the ‘show the status bar’. (And disabling the bar in the desktop settings, of course)

1.Multiple actions is possible using Tasker and autoshortcut

    1) I knew this sort of thing would be very difficult, just thought I would throw it out. As far as Jay M’s suggestion, how can tasker perform LLX actions, such as closing folders, etc.

    2) Hopefully pulling this data can be simple, if not, maybe pulling the calls to the status bar would be easier? I use dashclock to yank notification data, but if LLX could do the same, my CPU and RAM may thank you for the undo strain.

Its easy, LLX has something called shortcuts, all of these are visible to Tasker using the autoshortcut plugin. so you could have 1 task perform 20 LLX shortcuts. There’s a free Tasker Trial if your wanting to try my suggestion.

Regarding 1) I confirm that scripting would be the way to go. Tasker is a great way to do it at the moment, but it will be better to do it in the launcher because it will be possible to do something like ‘if a folder is open, then close it,  else go to the origin”. This is currently not possible to do this with tasker.

    2) Technically this is possible, but difficult to do because the launcher doesn’t know the state of other apps. It can discover whether some app is “launched” or not, but this does not mean it is active. The target app need to offer a way for other apps (such as the launcher) to query its state. As a consequence it has to be implemented for each media player, video app, or else, when it is possible.

    3) Scripting would bring a finer granularity for this too.
