v9.9.11 beta (again !)

v9.9.11 beta (again !)

Since the previous 9.9.11 has never been available because of Play system errors yesterday, I added some more bug fixes to this version…

Edit: it seems Google Play has been repaired, at last ! The update should start to appear soon through the regular update system.

Changelog:

    – some fixes related to the app drawer (need a reset to resolve mixed icons issue)

    – fix script LL.getCurrentDesktop() (fixes the bug with the pin code lock screen)

    – fix script Folder.close()

    – fix script Item.setSize()

    – fix missing script Window.setTimeout()

    – fix a problem when adding stop point through the menu key

    – fix the Desktop settings linked with the app drawer, when reached from the app drawer, and renamed “All Apps” to “App Drawer”, “Desktop settings” to “Current desktop”

There is also an experimental items hierarchy viewer, under the “Items / Hierarchy…” long tap menu. This is incomplete because items infos are not yet available, but I would like to get your feedback on this way to browse items.

    I tried a bunch of things, including re-installing & clearing data a couple of times. Don’t know if what I did next is what fixed it or if its just a coincidence, but now ll X is working again after I uninstalled it, installed/ uninstalled ll home, then reinstalled LLX.

    I’m thinking that there might be a bug in the data somewhere for ll X that isn’t in ll home, and that the installation of ll home fixed the LLX problem? Does that make sense Pierre Hébert?

    Installed it over the previous LLX beta…no crashes so far. (Although I haven’t played around with my phone a lot for the past couple of hours).

    Carolyn Boyle this is unlikely if clearing data did not work. Did you get the crash popup message allowing you to send a log ?

    Installed and run without any problem.

    Hiérarchical items view is interesting. Missing :

    – go back to top container

    – more info about items

    – go to the item without leaving the view

    Yes, this is why I was wondering about the benefits of listing items in a popup menu: on one hand it is fast to navigate and all existing actions are available easily, on the other hand it is not possible to go back. A dedicated screen would be less integrated in the desktop view, but would be better for navigation.

    Or maybe both :

    – one popup for fast navigation towards items (with focus moving to the item selected)

    – one dedicated screen for full management of containers & items

    Other point : wouldn’t it be a good idea to have the possibility to give a name to each object (containers, widgets, folders, shortcuts, dynamic texts …). In my own habits I always use names with a specific norm to easily understand and sort them. For example : FolderNews, FolderMedia, FolderGames, PanelMainShortcuts, Panel ExtraShortcuts …

    We have that possibility in zooper widget and it helps to manage the widgets on screen.
