v10.3b1
v10.3b1
There is now a builtin image picker in this beta. It will improve/fix a few things: faster image picking from icon packs, increased compatibility with some packs, allow background color selection for better viewing, allow picking of nine patches from other packages.
Still no direct compatibility for icon pack other than ADW compatible ones, but since it is possible to pick resources from any app, this option might be a good enough workaround.

Any chance of adding an option to extract an image from an icon pack or an app to a png? I have a need of this functionality for another purpose and this is the first time I’ve even seen something that can list everything available. It’s amazing how many images/icons are in the YouTube app alone.

Pierre Hébert released a utility called App Icon Picker that might do what you need.

Thanks. I tried it and it looks like the same functionality, but just in an add on instead of built in. I can’t find any option to save a selected icon/image as a separate file to be used for another purpose. That’s what I’m looking for. Unless I’m just missing it.

How about just unzip the apk in question and grab whatever you want?

Mike Wyzlic there’s also a free app on the play store called themex that lets you extract icons & wallpapers from icon packs. It supports all the standard launchers adw, apex, Nova, go launcher. It should do exactly what you want. It just saves them in a folder on the SD card. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.redphx.themex

Thank you bahrta sai. I was searching for something like this, but couldn’t find it. This works for what I need (crashes frequently, but still does the extraction). I appreciate you pointing me to it.
