I’ve also noticed icon packs are starting to add a Lightning Launcher icon also.

It is more than just “switching.” For me, it is a huge leap. The more I learn, the more I want to use LLX. It’s complicated and the other Launchers are pretty easy to master. LLX is FAR from easy. I keep trying to switch, but I also keep getting lost. Yet I know, it can’t be easy. So I venture in when I have time, but in a pinch, I flip back to TSF or Nova with a sigh…knowing that someday I won’t have to or want to return to “the shallow end.” …and yes Lightning is gaining popularity which is great! You can do so much more in “the deep end.” thank you Vinay Gaykar and, of course, Pierre Hébert

Bill Vasvary It is not complicated, it is sophisticated instead.

Yes Abdullah Alahdal You are right, though I did not mean to suggest any thing negative about LLX. The Launcher is superb. I bring the complications. I really wish I had started with Lightning because I would be “there” by now. Instead, I started with the overly simplified and kept wanting more. Hence I went from Go to Atom to Action to ADW To Next to Nova to Lucid to TSF and I’m sure I tried 10 others as well.

So, yes, I stand corrected. LLX is sophisticated in the very positive sense of the word. I know that I can turn Lightning into my own Launcher.

It is so amazing I don’t know how to start. Yet, I am willing to keep at it. I seem to be very good at making Launchers crash. So I am often at Square One. I have purchased many LLX Templates with hope.

…I take direction fairly well. Do you have a suggestion with template or without of a path to follow?

    Thanks Abdullah Alahdal

Personally, productivity is 1st priority and I do not look for effects and fancy look neither to many pages in my launcher. For me, currently I just have one single page that contains the following items purely made from scratch using LL & Tasker.

    1. Prayer time with Georgian and Hijri Date.

    2. A panel containers that keeps updating itself with the most launched items (credit to TrianguloY ).

    3. A panel with 3 tabs for Emails, Tasks & Calendar).

    4. Panel for Tasker contains shortcuts to activate or deactivate profiles and my data usage dashboard.

    That’s it.

Now, for almost 1 – 2 months, I am not doing anything special due to:

    1. Not interested in furnishing my desktop.

    2. No time.

However, I have seen amazingly crazy templates out there for those who are looking for fancy stuffs.

Below is a link for my today desktop

See…lol…that illustrates exactly what I mean. What you seem to suggest as fairly simple yet sophisticated is a very complex single page written in a foreign language to me.

And I think you must be joking. I have yet to find anyone who thinks Tasker is simple. In fact, there is a growing number of Apps that try to simplify it.

Like I have said I need to learn more and I will because I would like to be comfortable using LLX as my only Launcher.
