Is Lightning Launcher supposed to show up in Recent Apps?

Is Lightning Launcher supposed to show up in Recent Apps? I’m pretty sure it did not when I first started using it. And I don’t think any other launcher has shown in Recent Apps.

For a while now,  when the screen times out or I hit the power button, the next time I turn it on, it goes to the home screen instead of the last app that was running. This is especially annoying during a call since my screen goes off when I put the phone to my ear. When I go to hang up, I’m at the home screen instead of the call screen. I have to re-launch the phone app, return to call in progress. Sometime I loose recent work in the app I was running. I’ve had this happen in particular with WatchMaker.

The other day, I was looking at LL’s setting. I let the screen time out, and when I turned it back on, I was still in settings. I exited and did some stuff. The next time I left an app open and the screen timed out, it went to settings rather than my home screen. It did this for a while, and started going back to the home screen.

My hypothesis is that Android is going back the most recent app that was running when the screen closes, and that happens to be LL. It may set the app back to it’s last known state, and for a bit, that was LL settings.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I think I found the answer. Long press on home screen. Then goto Lightning Settings –> Lightning –> General –> Lock Screen and uncheck Launch Unlock. I’m not sure why this works. That feature is supposed to unlock when an app is launched from the lock screen. I tried checking and unchecking this option several times, and it consistently disabled and enabled returning to home screen on lock. If it goes back to the home screen on lock, I report back.

P.S. This still seems like a bug to me.

  4. I’ll try it, even though I’m not using the lock screen.

I’m not using LL’s lock screen. Nonetheless, it seems that if I check Launch Unlock, LL shows up in Recent Apps, via a long press on the home key. That means when the screen times out, LL is considered to be the most recent running app, and that’s what comes up when I turn the screen back on. That is whatever else was running is replaced with LL. This can be rather inconvenient,

To follow up, keeping Launch Unlock unchecked seemed to work, but a day or so ago, LL started showing up in Recents again. When I checked the settings, Launch Unlock as still unchecked, so I checked it and ran with that for a couple of hours. Then I went back and UNchecked it, and haven’t had the problem. So this may be a not be a permanent solution. This feels like a bug to me. I’ll go ahead and report it in the appropriate place.
