I don’t like the variant at all. It looks like L7, not LL. It has no similarity with the existing icon (recognizable?), neither in style nor colors. I miss the lightning bolt her, I really do.
What is wrong with Viggo Jorgen ‘s icon? I still think that one is just perfect.

Nothing wrong with the icon from +Viggo Jorgen, this one is an alternative with the idea of a simple symbol. A house is a recognizable symbol for a launcher, but something that is completely different, even without real meaning, but which is easy to catch and remember is great too. That’s what I like in this one.

Like i said before I had something similar in mind when I was trying to think of ideas for a new logo. This may not be the final one but I love it for being outside the norm. Logos take a lot of work and no idea is a bad idea. They all help to spark creativity

It’s too tall and looks weird because of that. Icons should be more regular in shape, it’s just easier for eyes. Not without reason they all are rectangle / circle since… always.

What about extending a bit more the horizontal parts, so that the overall ratio is more close to a square ? Maybe not exactly a square, but maybe a wider rectangle ?
