I am glad to announce Lightning Launcher V12.8!
This new version brings two major enhancements which are animated GIFs and fullscreen panel edition.
With animated GIF, it’s easy to add a bit of fun and eye candy in your desktop. And since GIFs can be controlled from script, this can also be used to create special effects.
Panels are now edited using the full screen estate, just like folders. This makes it easy to move and customize items, even in the tiniest panel. I hope this will make docks, sliding windows, or object groups creation a much more pleasant experience.
Beside that, there is also an improved script editor and new image handling APIs to use with scripts. These are geeky tools, but its nevertheless a lot of fun to play with!

No more a beta, it’s time for a release!
There are more features to add (as always!), but this version is stable and in a good shape. I am happy to switch it into the “production” channel 🙂

In settings for item/tab pos. Is on first place margin between (number) and on second position is label podition. In label position is many option, and one is center.
Please doing this:
To first line move label position, to second line move margin between. And if selected label position is center, please disable set margin between. Pierre Hébert

Recently I noticed a small white square in the middle of all my home screens, shown below. I’m running v12.7 (r2436), Android 5.0.2 on an LG2. BTW I don’t have this problem on my Asus tablet (K007), running the same version of Lightning Launcher but Android 5.0.1. Is there anything I can do? (Changing wallpapers didn’t help.) Thanks! – Joe
]]>Some Settings of panel don’t “stick”. Can’t untick the option in Menü. After restart LLX it is on again.
Also if i change the “box” settings of items they don’t stick also. After restart of LLX the box changes are gone. Items in panel were the same as the six items at the top.

All edges (E) consist of two detached barrier stop points.
E1:
Left to Right, Left. Position: (0/-1)
Top to Bottom, Top. Position (-1/0)
E2:
Right to Left, Right, Position (screenwidth,-1)
Top to Bottom, Top. Position (screenwidth+1,0)
E3:
Left to Right, Left. Position: (0/screenheight+1)
Bottom to Top, Bottom. Position (-1,screenheight)
E4:
Right to Left, Right, Position (screenwidth,screenheight+1)
Bottom to Top, Bottom. Position (screenwidth+1,screenheight)
All other stop points are attached to the grid and their exact position on the line doesn’t matter.
Their configuration is:
Left to Right, Right to Left; Left, Right or
Top to Bottom, Bottom to Top; Top, Bottom
The outer (O) ones have Barrier on, while those in the middle (M) have Barrier off.
All stop points have Stop scroll and Stop drag on.
