How do I set the image background of a panel within my script?
Duh.

Following the preview and a couple of hundreds lines of code later the media player proof of concept(!) as a video…
Features:
– Playback of local files including display of album art (and fallback image if no image is existing)
Album art is also shown on lockscreen (as known from other media player apps like Google play music)
– Receiving system volume changes
– Obeying audio focus changes (player stops if another app requests audio focus)
– Seekbar (height and color are customizable)
– Skip forward/backward (customizable)
– Sleep timer using the android timepicker component (safely fall asleep during playback ;))
– Making use of Android notifications to show player controls and album art on the lockscreen and in notification panel
– As local playback might be lame at some point, I also added support for streaming playback of online radio stations incl. grabbing metadata and parsing to display current artist and title
Under the hood I make use of asnyc tasks to provide a non-blocking experience (as buffering might take some seconds).
The would still be some (a lot actually) open points (testing on other devices and Android versions (currently Sony Z3 on Android 6, support for when used in car setup with Bluetooth, shuffle) but for now the mvp does what is important I think.
Feedback welcome. Any questions let me know.

Swipe and launch script
I recently discovered how to trigger the material effect on lightning’s items, and made this little script.
The script is made to be set on the touch event of an item, and will allow to swipe across the items in the same container, selecting/deselecting them as you pass above them, launching when releasing.
Note: it only works if the selection effect is set to material, otherwise nothing will be shown (you can still launch them though). Also, non-clickable items are excluded.
In the video I show the script with a visible item at the bottom, for demonstration. Another option is to make it invisible, and big enough to cover all of the other ones, as if you can press wherever, but releasing will launch (you won’t be able to long tap or scroll this way, don’t make it full screen!).

Is there any way to do the foggy glass background that KLWP can do?
Is there any way to do the foggy glass background that KLWP can do? I really love the look of it for backgrounds of folders. Is this something that would be remotely possible to develop or do with scripting?
Hi, i think i may have found a bug…
The tasker plugin for LL doesn’t seem to do anything since V14.
I tried “Lightning Action” -> Go to main desktop and “Lightning Script”, both of wich where working during the last beta, without success.
At first, i thought that maybe the last tasker version was misbehaving, but all of my other tasker plugins are working, so my guess is that something broke in LL.
Thanks Pierre Hébert for this wonderful launcher. Is there anything i can do that can help to solve this issue ?

I have troubles with Lightning Launcher since the last update. My widgets are acting weird, I upload some screencaps, so you can see what’s going on, because it’s really annoying.
