LLX 9.3 b3

Strange behavior when editing a panel within a panel.

Easier to explain with video.

Steps:

Edit Layout , desktop

Edit Layout, panel 1

Edit Layout, panel 2

Exit edit layout mode

Strange behavior

Restart launcher

I have a shortcut at top of screen to restart launcher, which I press after demonstrating bug to restore normal appearance.

Also,

Is the black panel, upon selection intended? Or is this another 2.3 transparency issue?

Didnt really catch the “behavior”, but what color is the “focus” color of the panel? Black?

The behavior is that every icon in a small scrollable panel ( that is only about 1 row high) becomes visible until the launcher is restarted…

And maybe the black fill that appears when selecting which panel to edit (which may be intended to more easily see what you select)

Curtis Sylvester Jr. Yes, but until Pierre Hébert tells us we don’t know if this is intended or not

I didn’t say anything just that I get it. if it was intended I like to know how other than being annoying

heh, yeah… just tried it. doesn’t work too good for widgets, huh? Panels maybe I can deal with, but it makes widgets impossible.

I know that’s what I’m saying. took 10 tries just to get my 4×4 music player widget where I wanted it cuz I couldn’t even see the f@)5in thing to position it

    Sorry !

This will happen once per desktop/folder/panel. Until the update is available, you can get rid of the black box by selecting another item in the container and then selecting again the item.

Also the problem with panel will appear after editing it too, a restart will temporarily fix this.

Thanks Chris Chastain for the video reporting these two bugs at once !

Pierre Hébert, ahh yeah… selecting a different item and then re-selecting does work!
