The most weird bug I found
From the last weeks I notice something:
1) go to recent apps
2) open an app
3) press Back until the app closes itself
Now, in normal conditions, you should see the launcher…
But I see the recent apps list!
This happens all the time but not sometimes. Now I discover the bug:
‘Restart app’ action.
When you restart LL from LL using that action, the bug happen always until you restart LL from outside (turn off/on the mobile, force close from android settings…)
1) doesn’t happens when you change the language (maybe you can just copy/paste this code?)
2) the behavior is the same as if you force close the launcher and do the steps before open the launcher.
It seems that android know that the launcher has been closed, but for some reason android don’t know that it has been open again.
Do this happen also to you? Tell in comments.
NOTE: I have android 4.3 stock nexus 4

(I edited the post with this information)
It should do that, but from whatever reason it don’t do…until I restart it from outside.

Chris sledge: could you try this?
Force stop the launcher from android settings, and then do the steps before open the launcher. What happens? Do you go back to the launcher again?

Em. No. It’s still an app. I even have a shortcut in one folder from ll.
I open it, but nothing different happens with the bug.

I tested the same with stock launcher (after set it as the default) using the force stop, and it still happens…it’s something mine, isn’t it?

maybe try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=name.kunes.android.launcher.loader I don’t know how it will behave in this specific case though.

Chris sledge exactly.
Pierre Hébert this app helps, but only because the bug happens with it, instead of with ll.
What I was saying (but it get lost in the main post) is that using the ‘select language’ trick don’t trigger the bug. Maybe you can copy/paste that part of code.
