Lockscreen after a while always reverts to default Android lockscreen.

Lockscreen after a while always reverts to default Android lockscreen.

Nexus 4 with Android 4.4 KitKat by the way.

After setting a desktop as lockscreen in LLx 9.2, I can lock my phone and unlock using the LL lockscreen. But after a while, when I switch on the phone, the default Android lock (that ring-thing) is active again. From this moment on, LL lockscreen does not become active again, until I enter LL settings and once again choose the lockscreen desktop.

According to the statement “in order to use the lock screen with this version, set android security setting to screen lock = swipe” I did so. No PIN or gesture unlock, and certainly not “none”.

Is this a bug, or am I just doing something wrong?

I have “Keep Lightning running” enabled and “Minimize memory usage” disabled. Just in case this might interfer.

I think that the application gets wiped out of memory. Technically it is running a service, which will decrease its chances to be killed, but it does not completely avoid it. I will keep an eye on this and see whether my assumption is correct. By the way you can use whatever android security setting you like in the most recent release.

I had a Amber widget on a different page and it got kicked out of memory so my widget comes up empty when i return to the page with the widget. the creator of amber Zhe Lu told me something like it was because it is not used for a period of time and android assumes that its probably not nescecary anymore and closes it to save memory.

but it was something like that, i am not for sure. but when i place the widget on my home page it doesnt comes up empty anymore.

it can be usefull in some cases like i have my music widget on a different page now. so i know it gets kicked out of memery so is my “test” page for widgets

Lutz Linke  I just had a though: could it be that instead of the lockscreen being stopped, it is just covered by a new app ? When you see the Android lockscreen and unlock, is the displayed app always the same ?

Pierre Hébert You’re getting close. First I wanted to state that I never keep apps open, always exit them by “back” button (not “home”). And in case the Android lockscreen was shown, never LL lockscreen was shown again until reactivating in LL settings.

But just now, for the fun of it, I left G+ open, switched off and on, unlocked with Android lockscreen, closed G+… and was on my LL lockscreen.

Since then, LL lockscreen is active again. Very strange.

i have miui rom. In settings for original lock screen, i cannot set none. I can set only pin, password, swipe and gesto.

I add to my locked screen app phone dialer. When i wake up phone and tap to app dialler, now i am on dialer. When i press back key, now i am on default home screen (not in locked screen). Somethime not on default home screen, but in all apps with sorting recent apps.
