In previous version – if i have in folders some icon and widget (for example swich) and set for folder auto close option (close the folder as soon as one of its app si launched). App and widget after tap automatically close folder.

In last version working only app. Widget not automatically close folder. Is it bug or new feature?

If is new feature, can you add to folder settings/this folder add new option – auto close for widget? (separately auto close for app and separetely auto close for widget).

We are now getting the nth question about how to change/remove the default border of a panel.

We are now getting the nth question about how to change/remove the default border of a panel.

Here is an idea.

Folders have a little info text in them by default, when they are added.

What about having the panels that too? But for them the info would be about how to remove the border.

I ran a script for testing and all went well.

I ran a script for testing and all went well. I used “change position” under desktop events to call the script. After testing, I unchecked this and items inside of panels wouldnt respond. Killing llx sorted it out though…

LLx is so awesome! Thank you!

LLx is so awesome! Thank you!

One question. is it possible to launch apps from the LLx lockscreen without unlocking the phone? (have it returned to the lock screen and locked state on exit from that app?)

I want to use tasker to control mp3 playback from the lockscreen, and set up a combination lock pad, but the phone unlocks as soon as I click on the tasker shortcut, or widget (or when I launch any app from the lock screen). Thanks for any advice.

My first LL homescreen.

My first LL homescreen. Just time, weather and battery in default and two panels that slide horizontally for more information. The upper panel with often used apps and my gmail, the lower panel with a few important toggles. The “dock” items all have a second action on swipe up, so I can have 10 fast access actions.

v9.9 alpha, llx only

v9.9 alpha, llx only

Today I am releasing a preview of the next Lightning Launcher version.

No secret here, scripting takes the major place in this update, but there are other goodies regarding events too.

Full changelog:

– add scripting ! Custom actions can be configured for all sort of things, I am eager to see what you will be able to do with this ! Although APIs are not complete yet…

– support for configuring events per desktop (and some of them per panel/desktop)

– back key is now configurable. By default it is plug onto a new “Go back” action

– other new events primarily used for scripting, but not only (desktop loaded, scrolled, stop point reached)

– updated back key behavior with panels: when a panel is touched or scrolled, the back key will reset it to its home position, or reset its container if it is already at home

– dropped support for Android 2.1 (well, this one is not a goodies but hey, time is passing)

And a few minor bug fixes:

– tapping on a widget in the lockscreen will also unlock (same as apps)

– workaround for a drawing bug on 2.3 devices in the box editor

– fix grid lines drawing with fit desktop to item and detached item on the topmost/leftmost position

This version is highly experimental, and for this reason I selected the Google Play alpha channel for this update. In order to allow community members to choose between beta or alpha testing, the Play system requires distinct communities, so I just created a new one: https://plus.google.com/communities/111427002111904170930. Anyone willing to test the alpha version need to join it. Warning, again, this is a preview. Should you want to experiment with it:

make a backup first 😉
