V12.2b1 beta

Edit: V12.2b2 published with bug fixes

No new feature, no bug fix, but a single change that I prefer to update unitary because it is tricky.

Various modifications in this beta aim to speed up the app drawer and large containers when they contains a lot of apps, as well as reducing the average amount of RAM used for images.

In some situations, mostly in the app drawer, you may see icons refreshing themselves, my hope is that it will not happen, or not too often.

Another area where I fear border effect is scripting. Due to the flexibility it offers, I wouldn’t be surprised is something goes wrong here.

If you don’t like to live on the bleeding edge, please skip this version, because it has the power to break things…

Created some folders in my drawer.

Created some folders in my drawer. Now I’d like to add one of them to my homescreen – I’d expect this to work like any other icon in the drawer, it doesn’t, unfortunately.

Hah, it actually does work, but with a bit more brains 😉 Shortcut to folder –> ta-daa!

Pierre Hébert Can you clarify… I am a long LL user… I donated using the AppStore purchase of “LLW Donate”. The update you made to “trial” seems to ignore that I have already been using LL and already gave you a donation. Further, everything I am trying to do now in LL is telling me I need “unlock”… so is that just how it is now? I’ve lost access to the launcher I was using and now have to “pay” again?

It seemed like a great idea, especially to new users of lightning as the personalization of the desktop is not just immediate … prepared themes can be a great starting point for a beginner…

Pierre Hébert damn.

Pierre Hébert damn… Wah Wah Wah.. , it just did it again all the sudden the page indicators disappeared and when i double tap to zoom in or out it goes all the way out until everything disappears. I didn’t change anything or nothing and didn’t even back it up before it happens so, going to have to trash that one and it’s going to sting a little bit lol at least I know now to go and back it up more often when I am in the middle of construction

Something has been plaguing me since my first use of the free lightning launcher, and has been on the paid as well since my first day with it as well. I couldnt figure out if it was a bug or if it was supposed to be like that…. or if my device is just a piece of garbage. In any case this report is with resizing items (any item).

While in edit mode

1. Detach the item from the grid

2. Tap the item until the 4 arrows appear

If i understand correctly by dragging an arrow in 1 direction stretches the widget in the direction, however that has not been the case.

If you move the top or left arrows, the item stretches, but bottom or right arrows just make the whole item bigger. For me the fix for that was to move the item until the right and bottom sides are where i want them to be THEN detach the item and stretch only the top and left sides.

This was never reported only because it appeared that nobody else had this experience and maybe it was just me. But now i feel like i should have reported it.

Is this just an issue with my device?
