Based on James Coyle s post I will ask a lot of questions. As google does not allow multichoice polls, I’ll have to split this into several posts.

It’s all about The post categories we have in this community.

Poll #1: What name would you prefer for the support category?

Having issues recently that make LL pretty much unusable. I’m not really sure why but every time I try to scroll the desktop LL crashes. Whenever I try to edit an off screen item it crashes. I thought it may be my script but it still happens after disabling it. I really have no idea what is causing it to crash.

Small suggestion: in the app drawer when you long click an app, the delete button (the trash image) is not clickable, and there is an entry ‘uninstall app’

What about remove that entry and make that trash button the uninstall one?

(I just went to remove an app, and the first button I pressed were that trash one, that’s why I suggest this)

Pierre Hébert: recently you added a feature so that clicking the name in the box editor (orange oval) shows a toast with the full name, in case it is too long and gets cut.

Suggestion 1: what about add that feature also in the pop-up menu? (green oval)

[Independent from suggestion 1]

Suggestion 2: what about let that name to be scrolled horizontally? With or without the ‘click to toast’

Trying to get the next alarm set string from Settings.System using script.

Trying to get the next alarm set string from Settings.System using script. Using the following but getting an error, any help much appreciated:

LL.bindClass(“android.provider.Settings”);

var alarm = Settings.System.getString(getContentResolver(), Settings.System.NEXT_ALARM_FORMATTED);

Note: I know that the above method was deprecated in Lollipop but am trying to implement this on KK

Can you make it so a long tap on the center dot of the geometry editor thingy goes backwards through the properties? Oh and is it possible to add google inbox to the dynamic text thing? I have marked all my mail as done but the text still says I have unread mail (done != read).

I feel like the post categories for the community could do with some work.

I feel like the post categories for the community could do with some work. I’ve seen quite a few people posting in the wrong category and its often quite hard to know which one to post in.

Here are the categories I think would work better (mostly very similar):

All Posts

News (mods only)

Get Help

Report a Bug

Suggest a Feature

Express Your Opinion

Share your setup

Translate LL

Scripts

APK’s

Custom Views

With those categories, it should be easier to find certain content. I’m not sure how moderation works on G+ as I have yet to be one but I would suggest a sticky post in each category detailing what to post and then move any misplaced posts to the correct category too so things are kept organized.

The Material Dialog library looks awesome.

The Material Dialog library looks awesome. Maybe Pierre Hébert could use it in Lightning Launcher. If publishing the dialogs to be usable from script… what a dream!

There’s a demo app in Play Store, try it.

Huh, cool. Big apps that use my library Material Dialogs:

Nova Launcher (Beta), Action Launcher, and AcDisplay (not the Google Play version yet).

I’m sure there’s others, but those are some big players in the store. I’ve known about the first two for a while since they both have contacted me, and Kevin has contributed a lot to the library.
