Pierre Hébert first of all I would like to say thanks man, I used an older version for like 2 years and could only…
Hmm…I couldn’t seem to back up LLX on ES, or upload an emergency copy to my Drive ever since this version.
Pierre Hébert In an old post, someone had a bug with Jay M posted a suggestion about the script editor, and you…
Testing a lot with the script editor, in my opinion it will be better to not show it right after you open the app (and also when you close the drawer) and leave it to the user as a normal textbox (so it is shown when you click)
But maybe in general people like it to do that.
Comments? Opinions?
]]>App Theme/Branding Colors.
I think the statusbar colors wrong well not wrong because it can be any you color you want but i think the default cololor is to dark, looking at this.
http://www.google.co.uk/design/spec/style/color.html#color-color-palette
I see your using the correct primary color for the orange which is 500 but the statusbar should be 700 which is #E64A19
Like Google suggests here

Of course its your app and these are guidelines so its up to you if you follow them I just thought I’d mention this incase case you didn’t know.
]]>Pierre Hébert, was anything changed in the v12 beta involving the “back” button?
I have noticed suddenly that when opening an app from desktop (ex: messaging or g+), pressing the back button to exit usually (not always) returns me to android’s recent app screen, instead of desktop as expected. This just started in v12.
Running 4.4.4

Heres the icon pack thing i was talking about, and heres what’s going on.
I reset the icon pack to the default. Then I go back and show all icons have changed. Then I apply an icon pack and go back and show its changed but that some icons are smaller than others, then I apply the same icon pack again and go back and show all icons are now the same size.
I then rinse and repeat this a few times with Random icon packs.
BTW I noticed something while playing this back in the “Apply an Icon Pack” Dialog the Icon Packs are all Squashed up against each other, could you add some margin to tidy it up cheers.
]]>About the new beta Pierre Hébert:
I can’t access the batch add mode or I don’t know how. When I use add item, app, it shows my drawer.
What is the ‘backup/restore’ shortcut you mention? Can we now make a backup clicking an item? (That would be nice, but couldn’t find anything in Lightning actions)
What means this? “Use the same folder icon everywhere (add item dialog, new folder, image picker)” (I saw the folder icon is a different one, nice. But I don’t understand the image picker mention)
Now we can set independently ‘seamless mode X’ and ‘seamless mode X’…I think there is a mistake in the label 😛
]]>TrianguloY , Lukas Morawietz : would you agree if I add a link to the Repository Importer in the script editor ?
As I imagine the thing, this would be an “Import” button near the “New” button. It would redirect to the package installation if needed, otherwise it would launch the import directly.
I noticed a “market://” link in http://www.pierrox.net/android/applications/lightning_launcher/wiki/doku.php?id=import_a_script_directly_into_ll, do you plan to publish it ? (would be great!)
]]>I recently posted an app called ‘Repository importer’ which lets you download an app directly from an app.
For this app I only need to load a script into the launcher.
First I used the default ‘load a script’ method. This is the normal way of importing scripts, but the user need to go to lightning menu, scripts, load a script, and click the app.
But then, Lukas Morawietz found a clever way of load this script from a template. This way you only need to accept the prompt of the template, nothing more. The cons is that this edits the launcher’s files, and need to force close it (for the user: the launcher restarts)
So, as a user: what do you prefer?
Pierre Hébert, I already suggested this from email but perhaps you didn’t received it.
What about an Intent to tell the launcher to load a script from apk, the same as with templates?
