DeepBlue II includes scrolling widget panel, scrolling clock panel w/4 clocks configured with Dynamic Text only (the last one is dim enough for bedside table), and an empty folder button to customize yourself, with your favorite apps.

Sorry pierre, but panels inside panels (and so on) are still broken, I mean, when you restart the launcher they don’t work. You need to go to the settings of the first panel and change something (even if you check/uncheck) because it seems to ‘wake up’ the panel and fix it.

If at desktop level an ADW Icon Pack is chosen, could these please be automatically applied to folders and panels (inheritance)? Currently it doesn’t, one has to manually chose Icon Pack in each.

Could you please add “Bottom” and “Right” to “This folder’s window” >> “Placement”?

Could you please add “Bottom” and “Right” to “This folder’s window” >> “Placement”?

It would be more convenient i.e. to add margins around a folder. Right now it’s math to do (desktop width – left – right = width). But primary it would be independent from a devices resolution (publishing templates).

Also it would allow to align folders i.e. relative to the bottom left corner. Again: device independency.

I know technically top/height and left/width are the values to use, but it would be great if you could make this possible.

Usablity-wise I’d suggest: if top AND bottom are specified, the height value should be non-editable (maybe show the calculated value?), likewise left, right and width.

Hopefully reaching an almost stable status 🙂

And here is the changelog:

– changes the way newly created folders behaves: the default value for “Use desktop size” in layout parameters is now yes (existing folders remain unchanged).

– reworked desktop and item menu (move app related options in a sub menu, add confirmation for folder removal, add a customize sub menu)

– improves copy style with items

– panels are now created on the bottom layer

– fix a rounding problem leading to 1px holes in the layout

– fix add widget when used through the shortcut action “add object…”

– fix a crash when double clicking on a folder at startup

– fix widget initial size in some situations

– fix item size when moving them from a desktop to another

– fix a few other crashes

That’s all !

Potential bug in latest beta

Potential bug in latest beta

If you double click a folder so they don’t close again (you’ll need a bit lag, better a folder with a lot of items) they will stay open forever. No back button, no home button, no edit mode, no pop-up… the only thing that I discover that fix it is force close the entire launcher (or click the folder icon again if it’s not a ‘full screen’ folder)

Testing, I discover that if you double click the folder just after restart, it crash…crash report send.
