Hate to throw another feature request at you today but would it be possible to have a folder open “from location.”…
I first thought about specifying a position for it to open from but thought that might confuse people just getting use to llx. Personally I’d love to be able to specify a “starting location” as this would be a small addition with big benefits while using the sliding animation for folders.

How hard would it be to have a setting for the speed of the folder animations?

I’m sure you have plans for more unlockers in the future but I was curious about a couple things.
Would it be possible to have an “on release” action for items? I see this mainly bring useful for custom sliders but I’m sure there would be other uses for it as well.
I’m also wondering how hard it would be to use existing widget locker themes. Looking at a couple of the themes they just seem to be zip files with images in them. I know of course widget locker does some work with them but I haven’t looked any further in to it personally.

Would it be possible to set up a folder as an “all apps” folder?
The reason for me wanting this is that it would then be possible to have a much more dynamic and movable app drawer. I had gotten use to an app that created a sidebar for all your apps that you could swipe to get. With llx this would be easily done and probably look better and take up less resources.

I like the new animation when positioning an item but it makes it quite difficult to quickly and accurately move…
I had the most issue with stop points honestly because there is no geometry settings for it.

Reply to Jappie’s post earlier with a video of what I was talking about.

Pretty much everything is pinned except the icon that appears when sliding to the left at the bottom. The item with the white background is a panel although it doesn’t have to be one. Just imagine good widgets there instead of ugly standard zooper ones.
The purple things are just to recreate the effect you have in your video.
The bright green areas are just there to call the folders up when swiping left or right. I showed this because if you do everything this way you are limited to just one screen unless you use folders like I did near the end of the video to emulate more desktop pages.
Oh ya, the purple areas are not clickable so that you don’t have to get right in between them to move the unlock button in to position.

Not sure how hard it would be but I’d love to see the llx lock screen handle events better.
Not sure how hard it would be but I’d love to see the llx lock screen handle events better. Such as opening a folder via tasker or the screen on event within llx.
The main reason is because I love the idea of having a very dynamic lock screen driven by tasker and changing based on my needs. Like music controls only when my music is playing, a shopping list displayed when I’m near the store, or work tasks on the screen when at work. With tasker and llx it’s possible but the lock screen forces everything to open underneath it. I posted a very rough video just to quickly demonstrate what I mean.
I will also add that the folder can be opened on the lock screen and closed without effecting the opened folder on the desktop.

Really liked the idea of using llx for a lock screen and had actually finally found a solution last night and woke…
The app I was using to use llx as a lock screen before was cyanx lock which had an invisible lock screen that would just be put on top of whatever was last on the screen. Not sure if taking a look at that app night help but it did the job great with disabling buttons and what not.
When I get home I’ll see about putting up a video of what I had and am trying to recreate with just llx.
