This script will allow you to quickly and easily change the icon of a shortcut as suggested by me here https://plus.google.com/113157980543803349502/posts/CWBSDuJ5Vj7
Its extremely simple and after picking a character there’s no more error handling so make sure you pick something for every option and don’t press cancel or the script will fail. This is Pierre’s script i just edited it to make it easier and quicker to use for those who dont want to mess about with the code every time they want to change an icon (like me) hope you find it useful 👍

So ages ago I tweaked the default user menu as shown in the screenshot below. I also wanted a shortcut to the script editor so i copy and pasted the settings shortcut and changed it to launch the script editor.Now here’s the problem I can change the new shortcuts label and action easily enough but changing the icon to match the other icons is a bit tricky because I need to download a matching icon pack. It would be nice if we could set icons with an icon font preferably the same one that lightning uses.

VideoView is set to match parent and so is the frame layout I also tried with a LinearLayout but same thing happened.

Anyone know how to bring up this menu through script.My TV tells me the actions not available when I try to do it by the add item/shortcut dialog I can bring it up through Tasker with run a lightning Action problem is it needs me to pick an action for the task so if I set this to a task shortcut on my homescreen it will only run the action I specified instead of bringing up the list of actions. I think if tasker can bring up the list a script should be able to do it azwell.

So yesterday i was without Internet which suuuuuucked 🙁 but it give me time to rework my TV setup. Its still not finished but im loving it so far there’s just a couple things i cant figure out im using the latest version of LL.
#1. The clock, the date and the title all get focused when navigating with my remote i can set them to be not clickable but i dont see a way to stop them being focused. They dont do anything nothings mapped to them so i dont need them to be selectable.
#2. On the clock theres a white square (holds the seconds) i have 2 actions mapped to it on tap it zooms full scale and onlong tap it restarts the app/launcher these actions are just used to demonstrate whats happening. As you can see when the launchers restarted my setup shrinks (zoom 100p i think its called) this also happens if i press the back button or the escape key on a keyboard. I exported the setup to my phone and tested it there but it does the same thing.
#3. Is it possible to set the focus to always be on the Live TV tile because obviously thats going to be the most used.
The tiles that say stuff like “wifi info here” are just place holders im gunna replace them with some cool custom views 🙂 Feedback welcome 👍
