I try set in desktop setting free mode (for portrait and landscape layout). On desktop i select some item, and this item is in grid.

Only when i add new item, this item is in free mode.

I would expect when user set for desktop free mode, all items are not in grid… Pierre Hébert

When user doing long tap on desktop, they can select option Settings. Now is visible Desktop, Lightning , Android.

If user have set own name (from Configure desktop), please replace string Desktop by users text. (in default is Desktop 1).

Same problem is in settings, where is strings General, Desktop, App drawer, etc. Pleace replace sting Desktop by name (for example Destop 1, or My own desktop, etc.). After select Desktop is visible same string in title (white text on orange bacgkround). This string please replace. (If user have named folder or panel, please show this name here, not only Desktop, Folder, Panel). User will see what container right now set. Only if not have user set name, show strings panel and folder and desktop. Pierre Hébert

I add container PANEL to desktop.

I go to edit mode, select this new panel and in MISC tab i set a name for this panel (for example My own panel.

Now in properities i see Panel ‘(My own panel)’.

I exit from edit mode (i am on normal desktop).

When i doing long tap on panel, i see only Panel and number in title (not see text My own panel).

I doing tap to pencil (edit) and click to brush (properities), still i dont see text My own panel.

When i select tab MISC. In this screen is not visible option set a name.

When i doing same steps with container FOLDER, everything is OK.
