So, I loaded up Eclipse ROM on my Galaxy Note 3 and decided to give LLX another solid go round. I decided to take some previous advice and get a template or 2 from the play store to get a better idea of how it is all supposed to work. So far none are “compatible” with my Note 3, it all just becomes a jumbled mess! Does anyone have any fairly straight forward and simplistic templates they would want to share or link me too that are compatible with the Note 3 screen size?

So I tried messing around with panels last night for a solid hour after watching the LL youtube video on it, and gave up.

If anyone has the time ( or a link to something they have already done ) could I get a simple step by step write up on how to do it? I could create / add a panel like the video showed , but the finer details of the settings  to create the panel ( and have it look nice )were very blury and I couldn’t really emulate the setting options on my phone. What I could do, was make a panel, see its outline in edit mode, but trying to fill in spacing in the box position options didn’t seem to give the panel any fill in/visibility, and I couldn’t seem to add apps into the panel from the panel settings, I could add icons, and text only.

This made me really think I was missing some steps which is why I decided to post a request for a good , simple step by step tutorial with good description of what the basic options are for and do.

I am sure that if someone writes it, it will get added to the wiki.

This may be a bit of a dumb question, but in regards to wallpaper scrolling and scaling;

Say I have a wallpaper I want to use that is pretty close to my phones resolution lets say 1920 x 1080, say I want the main desktop to display in the center of the image with that part of the image zoomed in so then when I swipe to move around the other parts of the image move into focus while keeping the same image scaling.

It is sort of hard to explain, Chris Chastain’s Bass desktop is a good example, is that wallpaper a desktop wallpaper that actually way to big to fit on the screen or are all the desktop items zoomed in / scaled down somehow ?

I hope that made sense, it did in my head anyway. 🙂

Question

Question

Where is the best place to find some good tutorials on LL? I haven’t really been able to find to much, the developers youtube videos are somewhat helpful, but a little bit fast and not very in depth. Any recommendations?

2 things I am looking to do is: set a wallpaper/background in a way that it is aligned and scaled to take up just part of the screen , add a launch bar/navigation bar along the side or bottom, similar to this:

I just noticed the tutorials category, I will check there as well, but any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks.
