Another bug report from users of my template:

Another bug report from users of my template:

Folder window options defined at current desktop (top 424, height 528). Folders at desktop use those defaults, no overrides.

But when template is applied to device with higher resolution (note 3 vs nexus 4), settings of each folder are changed (top 1120, height 1503), values are marked as “custom”. Desktop folders’ defaults are original (not scaled). So changing default values no longer apply to existing folders.

When fixing, please keep in mind to rescale not only when applying a template, but also when loading different styles for desktop.

Hi Pierre Hébert.

Hi Pierre Hébert.

Please allow to define custom folder position not just from “top” and “left”, but to choose an individual anchor position (like Zooper does). Or better let us define margins for all 4 sides. It should still be possible to enter width/height. When editing settings, 1 of 3 values (left/width/right and top/height/bottom) must be zero (“automatic”), that’d do the trick.

The reason I chose “bug report” instead of “feature suggestion” is, that in my “Hide and Seek”-template folders are positioned by top and height, but on devices with resolution different from mine folders are placed too high, too low or even are partially reach out of the desktop. I got complaints about that, but can’t do anything against. Position folder relative to bottom would’ve helped.

Please take a look and think about a proper solution. Thanks in advance!

… and BTW: please don’t forget inheritance of folder settings from desktop to folders in panels 😉

Best regards and have a great new year.

Just found a site which generates android app element 9-patch pngs.

Just found a site which generates android app element 9-patch pngs. Mainly for app developers, but might be handy for themers as well. Will give it a try and see how well elements can be used.

Default settings (the files/definitions) can not be deleted.

Default settings (the files/definitions) can not be deleted. Wanted to clean up the list before creating my APKs, but though long press >> delete appears, they aren’t.

Tried removing the s1, s2 etc does from template, but import failed after that (“corrupt file”).

Also the sort order (if any) is unclear to me, alphabetical would be better I think.

FINALLY I published my long awaited “Hide and Seek” Lightning Launcher Template to Google Play!

Designed for Nexus 4, but tested on other devices. Current desktop’s folders’ position needs adjustment, everything else seems okay so far.

Another suggestion: it would be handy to keep some items always on top in z-order, i.e. when pinned, so new added items stay below. Or vice versa, always at bottom level.

If at desktop level an ADW Icon Pack is chosen, could these please be automatically applied to folders and panels (inheritance)? Currently it doesn’t, one has to manually chose Icon Pack in each.

Could you please add “Bottom” and “Right” to “This folder’s window” >> “Placement”?

Could you please add “Bottom” and “Right” to “This folder’s window” >> “Placement”?

It would be more convenient i.e. to add margins around a folder. Right now it’s math to do (desktop width – left – right = width). But primary it would be independent from a devices resolution (publishing templates).

Also it would allow to align folders i.e. relative to the bottom left corner. Again: device independency.

I know technically top/height and left/width are the values to use, but it would be great if you could make this possible.

Usablity-wise I’d suggest: if top AND bottom are specified, the height value should be non-editable (maybe show the calculated value?), likewise left, right and width.

Looks like another one… shortcut “LL – Action >> Add object” brings dialog, but adding an app widget does not work.

Looks like another one… shortcut “LL – Action >> Add object” brings dialog, but adding an app widget does not work.

Chooser is shown, I can even configure widget, but then it disappears. Have zoomed out, searched on desktop etc, it’s not added.

But: if I long-click and “Add”, widgets can be added.

All other objects (apps, shortcuts, etc) are working also, just not widgets.

EDIT: applies to panels, folders and desktop, too. Permissions problem?
