LOL this one hits home big time… Pierre Hébert should we tell them they need to put the coffee machine (or perhaps I should say caffeinated beverage of choice ) between the bed and the keyboard?

]]>Latest update: fails when exporting template.
I just updated Llx, and tried to export a template nothing happens (which is better than a complete crash, but not much ). Tried again, got a force close. Happened more than once.
I was able to create a backup archive, sure that the link below.
This happened with an existing setup, imported from lightning home. I haven’t check yet to see if its specific to this archive, or if it happens every time. Well post here when I have more information.

Edit: something is making Llx crash when accessing existing desktops. After posting the above , I replaced that set up with one of +Chris Sledge‹s templates downloaded from the Play Store. From there I was able to go in to configure desktops, export a template normally.
Edit: After loading a template from the Play Store , followed by loading the linked archive I was able to get into the configure desktops menu. Doing it in reverse order fails.
]]>Is there a way to change the color of the text in the widgets selection menu?
This isn’t a super high priority thing, but it would be nice to fix it.
]]>The attached screenshots show 2 things I’ve noticed in the latest update:
1. Some things aren’t getting imported from ll home on a new LLX install. The colored screenshot is the way ll home was set up. I got the message from LlX that the LL home installation has been detected and would be imported, but 2nd screenshot shows what actually happened.
manually restored the desktop from backup, and it was fine.
2. After screen timeout, the third screenshot is what I got..(totally black nothing, no response to menu key etc.)
It was only one desktop, no lock screen, but it looks like llx was locked up anyway.
The archive’s at this link if you want to download it and take a look …

EDIT: The problem went away when I added a desktop with an unlock shortcut on it.
Pierre Hébert is there any other information you need to fix this one?
]]>Oh.
Oh. My. Goodness… Pierre Hébert this app just gets better and better…. The new informational popups for a fresh install are very good.
]]>I don’t know exactly when it happened, but long-pressing on an LLX setting no longer launches online help.
Blah blah blah why the new HTC One will/won’t be the best phone ever, blah blah blah better or worse than the Galaxy…

It’s amazing how much “analysis” can be generated about phones that no one’s actually used in the real world yet.

The two bugs in the above export are probably connected, since they happened pretty much simultaneously:
1: Changing normal widget background actually changed the image for selected and focused as well. This doesn’t happen every time, but I’ve seen it more than once. The last time it happened,
2: Panel (dock) disappeared from view, though not from the item hierarchy, after #1: occurred.
Panel shows up in the desktop item hierarchy, and the item menu is accessible still. After “move out of panel” is clicked, the shortcut lands in the upper left corner of the desktop, the way its supposed to.
EDIT: 2014MAR23 18:05 PDT
The llx export linked above is derived from +Chris Chastain’s TopTab apk. (I had an idea, wasn’t sure I knew exactly how to do it from scratch, so, like any good programmer, I stole something :-). He still has the apk shared at https://app.box.com/s/oxgtxnpa79tax96snpsx.
It uses a dock-like row of 5 pinned shortcuts with top to bottom and bottom to top stop scroll, stop drag, barrier stop points. I unpinned the shortcuts, put them into a panel, leaving the stop points in place surrounding the panel, so that I could slide the dock items to the left and right, so that the dock is no longer limited to the 5 in the original. I was able to use the dock this way off and on for days, Beyond the addition of shortcuts, there were absolutely no changes made to the dock panel.
Then I changed the background of the little clock widget at the top of the screen. The background change didn’t work right (#1:) and immediately afterward, the dock, which had been happily bouncing up and down at the bottom of the screen until then, disappeared from view.
