2 problems:

Had some issues with icon packs not applying properly, did a fresh install and even my backups were gone – that wasn’t supposed to happen, right?

The video is about another issue: I go to delete all of the desktops, and add a new one, I select that as home desktop and hold down on it (to enter it). LLX becomes unresponsive, in the video the first thing I do is press the menu button, but nothing happens. When I force close LLX and then open it, I get the greeting that comes when you first open LLX and all the desktops are back as well.

I just love your script maker, but I run into an error when I try to use the desktop bookmark action (“b”).

I’ll attach a screenshot of the error. It always points to line 58. (“skripti masin” means script machine in Estonian ;D )

Honestly – I tried to look for this myself, but…still too much for me.

Honestly – I tried to look for this myself, but…still too much for me.

I’d like a script for the lockscreen that unlocks and then goes to the home desktop.

I also remeber some talk that through scripting one could use multiple LL actions in sequence. How can I send the script to look for an action then or is this supposed to be done only via scripts?

Also I’ve got some weird issues with stop points (still on the lockscreen): I have a stop point at 0,0 position and I’ve set that as a desktop wide barrier…it worked as it should until a few days ago I was able to scroll to the left (which was supposed to be restricted).

I now added another stop point further to the left to have two different actions on the lockscreen – this works…for now at least.

Any ideas what might have happened and why?

The same weird stop point is also supposed to be the only snapping stop point so that if I don’t reach a stop point with a reached event then it returns to the original position, but often there’s no movement to the original position – sometimes I works quite well, other times almost not at all.

Could the last part be done via script? Would that be more reliable?

I’m in no rush with these scripts, so don’t push something important to a later time for me =D No need for that!

Thanks for the help, guys!

These things don’t need rushing, Pierre

These things don’t need rushing, Pierre ! ! Take your time and enjoy yourself a little more, you’ve done amazing work with LL !

I’m just reporting a bug and gathering some info.

I have enabled transparent status bar and don’t allow the desktop to go under it. After LLX has been active for some time the desktop goes under the status bar, a restart fixes this. Haven’t figured out what triggers this, usually out takes time, but sometimes not.

Second issue (pic related) is more of a question – are icon shaders supported in LL? They don’t seem to be, because all of the icons should be in black and white. If they are supported then they aren’t working, if not then this one is a feature request.

I know that I’ve asked about this at least two times already, but I couldn’t find my previous post with the question: support for icon pack types other than adw are planned, right? Is this a long term goal or a short term goal?

I keep running into the issue that it’s really difficult to find icon packs that LL sees, even if those packs have adw compatibility.

How about another snapping option – snap to grid/cells?

How about another snapping option – snap to grid/cells?

I’d use it for a sidebar, I know I can use stop points, but when I 8 rows and multiple pages, then it is a lot of work, not to mention when I add apps to the sidebar. I know that I can just disable snap to pages to almost get the effect that I want, but it don’t like cutoff icons at the edge of the panel.

It seems like it shouldn’t be too difficult and I’m sure that other uses will be thought of too!

More like an improvement, than a feature.

More like an improvement, than a feature.

Would be nice if the background of the icon picker (customize item->select an icon) was more dynamic. I like the black bg, but it’s almost impossible to choose the right icon, if the icon pack consists of black icons (tiny black icons). Only thing that helped me, was that the placing of tiny blue and tiny black icons was the same and then some trial and error.

Perhaps sampling the icons and seeing if they are dark or light and adapt based on that. Or a switch to change to a lighter background (probably a lot easier this way).

As I haven’t gotten the update yet this applies to 9.9.14, might include the update as well, might not.

(And a few suggestions at the end as well)

#1

I have a panel for apps and have enabled swapping when items overlap. If a panel that is two columns wide overlaps with an app item that is only one column wide, then they trade places as they should, but the app gets two columns wide. If the panel overlaps with two items then the left one gets moved and stretched and the right one does nothing.

#2

In that same big panel I have designed the item backgrounds with 9patches. The additional panels that are inside the first panel also get new backgrounds, as they should. I want then to be invisible, so I copy the style of a item outside the panel to get a clear background. After a little while (or applying icon sets inside any of the panels) the backgrounds appear again.

And with that a little improvement suggestion: how about a “no background” option for customizing item backgrounds?

And a little request as well: how about the option allow/deny item rotation based on if screen rotation is on or off (for example: never/ when rotation is enabled/ always)? And how about restricting rotation (all sides/ left/ right/ up/ down), someone recently mentioned that they don’t want their items rotating 180°, I’d like to restrict some of my items only to face down or left.

I’m quite sure it has been requested before, but still have to ask (or maybe I’ve missed the possibility?):

I’m quite sure it has been requested before, but still have to ask (or maybe I’ve missed the possibility?):

would it be possible to have the status bar act as an overlay (when it’s transparent then widgets could be seen behind it)?

When the status bar is set to be hidden and is brought up by the menu key, then it can be seen as an ovelay, but not when it’s been set to show.

(Just realized that this can actually be achieved when hiding the status bar and the toggling it back to visible via gesture or shortcut)

And a bug I just found: when I’ve hidden the status bar, pressed menu (status bar becomes visible), disable the menu key from toggling the status bar = status bar is always visible. Even expanding the notification tray doesn’t hide it (usually after closing it the status bar hides itself – accessed via gesture if hidden).

And anothor feature request – could the “expand notification tray” action go straight to the notifications if the status bar is hidden, at the moment the first time reveals the status bar, the second opens notifications.

Hey, Pierre Hébert ! Sorry it took me this long, exams plus the first week of the semester.

Hey, Pierre Hébert ! Sorry it took me this long, exams plus the first week of the semester.

I’ve been using the lockscreen and at some point alarms stopped popping on top of the lockscreen – now when the alarm goes off I only see the lockscreen, when I unlock, I am taken to my usual desktop. To access the alarm and shut the damn thing down I have open the notifications and tap on the alarm notification.

Other usages that play with the lockscreen and screen on/off haven’t been affected so far!

Is there an option to start the app drawer from the first page after a while?

Is there an option to start the app drawer from the first page after a while? Haven’t seen it so far. Even after I restart LLX the app drawer still opens the page that was viewed last.

Pierre Hébert

The newest beta has been awesome so far, love the unlocker! The ripples look really cool!!

Unfortunately unlocking still activates the notification bar even if it’s been hidden from everywhere. Unlock -> notification bar shows -> desktop appears, it takes ~1-1,5 seconds. Seemed a bit quicker before, but can’t be certain because I haven’t used it for a few days because the call screen thing was driving me nuts. =D

Just got a crash, sent you the logs and NOW after that, when I lock and then activate the screen via power button, first the lockscreen is shown for 0,5-1 seconds, the unlocker doesn’t even have time to apppear, and then it already unlocks, without me touching the screen!!
